How exactly have things gone to rack and ruin?

I've been gone for about a year. Ive' noticed, since I've been back, there are things missing that where here. In audio, there are lots of good OTR showes that are gone, just gone. I still think that this is a wonderful site. I just wish things were a little bit more like it was back then. I still recomend it to people I meet who love this stuff like most of the people who come here do.

I've only been here a little over a year, but there are some items that vanished when one of the mods left, as I recall.

Sometimes it's not the copyright. Sometimes its slippery legal jerks who have found a means of seizing public domain stuff (especially in OTR) through means that is less than honorable, but squeaks into the just legal category.
Conde Nast, for instance, took out a trademark on the phrase "Who knows what evil lurks in the minds of men". Since this phrase is the lead in to every one of the Shadow episodes, they effectively grabbed ownership and forced all of the Shadow episodes to be removed all over the internet. They did this with other OTR series also.
